TCG Helps Utah Update Their Juvenile Case Planning Curriculum

An effective case plan, well executed, can mean the difference between successful and unsuccessful supervision. Utah’s Division of Juvenile Justice Services (JJS) and the Utah Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) partnered with The Carey Group (TCG) to update and refine the way they train staff to create and use case plans.

As innovative and progressive evidence-based agencies, JJS and AOC recognized a need to modernize their case planning curriculum and asked The Carey Group to provide a comprehensive review of the existing case planning curriculum. Then, working with a Case Planning Committee comprised of staff from both JSS and AOC, TCG provided additional research citations, case planning components, and a case planning curriculum structure. The new case planning curriculum is now being used to train staff in the Utah Juvenile Departments.
